During a short winter vacation in the south of Europe I finally had a chance to work on a down tempo mix, which had been on my to-do list for a long time. It is a compilation of down tempo, trip-hop, ambient and some dub sounds.
echtZEIT from Germany shares with us his netlabel diary and takes us on a trip through ambient soundscapes. The mix starts very smoothly with nice atmospheric sounds from Western Angels. The following tracks make the mood a bit darker and melancholic, but in the end the positve vibes from JMP take away the dark clouds and let the sun shine.
The follow up on the popular Netcandy Volume 1 mix is available now. Netcandy Volume 2 also features netlabel hip-hop and other breakbeat styles with vocals as well as instrumental. The mix starts with a beautiful track by Playme which is sung in Rumantsch, a language only being spoken by about 50,000-70,000 people in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. Other raps are in English, German and Spanish.
