DIY or die: netlabels liberate music

Back in August, Joshua Smith published an interesting article about netlabels in MetOnline, a magazine produced by and for the students of the Metropolitan State College of Denver.

So while the birth of MP3 culture and online music trading is sometimes thought to be damaging the music industry as a whole, the existence and growing popularity of netlabels shows that a new ethic in music distribution is emerging in tandem with the advances in technology available.

    Pablo e. Peña P. from Venezuela moved his minimal and ambient netlabel mixes to a new blog and released two new mixes, periodic müsik mix 006 and periodic müsik mix 007. You can now also subscribe to his MY ODEO PODCAST and let your computer download all his current and future mixes automatically as soon as they are uploaded to the site.
