Profile:
After getting his first taste of underground dance music back in the mid 90s, Clayton Brooks [sea.envy] immediately took to the sound. Heavily involved in the emerging party scene in Southern California, sea.envy began his short-lived DJ career mixing UK Hard House and Drum and Bass, all the while perfecting his own brand of self-produced Hard Melodic Trance. Sadly, in 2002, his foray into mixing vinyl had come to a close due to lack of time (and money). Music production also tapered off as work and family life left little time for extended sessions in the studio.

Although sea.envy may have left the music, the music never left him, and in the tail end of 2007 he was introduced to the wealth of free, legal music available over the internet via netlabels. Embracing the advances made in digital audio technology, sea.envy built up his digital studio and once again began to mix the beats and breaks. Although he still puts out an occasional commercial mix, his main focus is on advancing the netlabel cause and promoting unreleased talent.

Clayton currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
