Pablo e. Peña P. from Venezuela moved his minimal and ambient netlabel mixes to a new blog and released two new mixes, periodic müsik mix 006 and periodic müsik mix 007. You can now also subscribe to his MY ODEO PODCAST and let your computer download all his current and future mixes automatically as soon as they are uploaded to the site.
I have been using the legal mp3 download service from eMusic now for many years as a good source of independent, drm free and affordable online music next to all of my netlabel downloads. Today I received the surprising message from eMusic, that my account has been transfered to Emusic Europe and indeed, on the eMusic site it says eMusic Europe now.
But there is more going on. Not only did they open eMusic Europe, they also increased prices for their European customers as Frank Hecker points out in his blog entry.
(…) The European eMusic Basic price of €12.99 is thus equivalent to $16.68 per month compared to the US price of $9.99. Even if you remove the effect of VAT the European price is equivalent to $14.20, representing a price increase of over 42%. (…)

A little bit more than a year ago I launched Sonic Walker, so that I can publish my own netlabel mixes, 100% legal and free. Soon, some other DJ’s from all over the world followed and Sonic Walker was born as a small DJ-mix netlabel. The focus has mostly been on house and electronic music, but we also tried to feature many other styles.
The huge amount of downloads has sometimes caused technical problems and forced me to switch hosting provider earlier this year. Unfortunately the new provider had some serious problems in past weeks as well, but I am confident that they will be able to solve them. My apologies, if the site has sometimes been unavailable or very slow.
In the meantime I felt it was time for a small relaunch, so here it is: Sonic Walker 2.0. But don’t worry, I am not going to place the 2.0 label on everything. More important is new music and I am happy to announce today, that we will release the 10th Sonic Walker Mix later this week.
